| 'Delphinus delphis' - the Dolphin - has long held a fascination for man, going as far back as Greek and Roman times and probably long before. Such enchantment stems not only from their incredible beauty and endearing ways but from a suspicion that this curiosity might be mutual.
Renowned nature photographer Francois Gohier, has taken the eight remarkable photographs in this pack. The two species features are the Atlantic Spotted Dolphin 9 (Stenella frontaliz) and the Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus). Both species are found in coastal waters bordering the eastern shores of the United States, down through the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico to Brazil and off the coast of West Africa. The Bottlenose may be found worldwide.
The Bottlenose Dolphins were photographed by Mr. Gohier off the Bay Islands, Honduras, in the lower Caribbean, whilst the Atlantic Spotted Dolphins were taken off the shores of the Bahamas - which accounts for the wonderful clarity of the water and pure whiteness of the sand.
